Lagoon’s Fugu

Lagoon's Fugu

Marshallese: luap
Japanese: fugu
English: pufferfish

Posionous to eat and unafraid of humans. This fugu lives outside our home and spends much of its time underneath a large coral table.

“I maron mange ik eo?” (Can I eat the fish?). “Ejab, e lagoon poijen” (No, it’s very poisonous”. Too bad!

Anything that supports my heart-to-heart connection with people is desirable, even if it’s a photograph of a poisonous fish.
